May Exhibit “A Potter and a Painter” – Reception Thursday, May 14, 4-7 PM

Our show for May is “A Potter and a Painter”, featuring Melanie Thompson of Hood River and Ardis DeFreece of Trout Lake.

Melanie’s pottery is soft organic shapes in low fire white clay with luscious satin brushed glazes in rich pastel colors. She uses pillow basalt rocks as forms occasionally to mold her clay around, achieving slightly eccentric rounded shapes.

Ardis is known for her exquisitely painted landscapes and still life’s, and miniatures , of scenes familiar to us, but rendered timeless by her perception.

The reception is 2nd Thursday, May 14, from 4 to 7 PM.

If you’re unable to attend the reception, the exhibit will be up all month.
